Vidalia First Assembly to hold "Speed the Light" service

The Blockers Chapel Church on Thompson pond Rd. near Vidalia is in revival through Friday night. Guest speaker is Evangelist, Tracy Swanson. Service begins at 7:30 p.m. Acordial invitation is extended. The pastor is Rev. Albert White.

The Vidalia First Assembly of God will have a "Speed the Light" youth car wash Saturday, May 10 at the church form 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. "Get a clean car and support missions." The pastor is Rev. David Knight.

We would like to extend our sympathy to the family of Annie Hood Bedgood. May God bless and comfort each one in their bereavement.

We would like to wish a belated happy birthday to Capers Phillips who had a birthday April 29 and to Bobby Beecher on May 2. WE hope both of you had a great day.

Eudene and Nick Peebles visited Mike and Penny Halligan and family for a short while Thursday morning.

Mrs. Dorothy Wickstrom was Sunday dinner guest of Wayne and Karen Wickstrom.

We would like to wish a belated happy birthday to Patricia Jarriel on May 2. We hope she had a great day.

Hannah Williams bride to be of Dustin Daniels, son of Donnie and Debrah Daniels, will honored with a bridal shower Thursday, May 8 at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Vidalia First Assembly of God.

We would like to wish a special happy birthday to Bud Sikes on May 5. Bud was honored with cake and ice cream Saturday night. A number of relatives joined to help him celebrate.

Corbie Phan, Brianna and Heath were Sunday dinner guest of Garland and Tina Peebles, Nicolas and Zachary.

We would like to wish a special happy birthday to Shelia Sharpe on May 9. WE hope she has a great day.

Jonni Sellars' daughter, Tiffany, is improving. She is in a room and beginning to walk a little. She still needs your prayers.

Shawn Williams was able to be in church Sunday morning with his mother. Please continue to pray for Shawn, Judy and Mickey Williams.

Mrs. Eudene Peebles attended the sing at Pendleton Creek Community Church Saturday night where Crosswalk form Blackshear were singing. They did a great job. She stayed for the refreshments after the sing.

The Faith Assembly of God in Lyons will have "The Standridgers" from Hemingway, S.C., ministering the gospel song during the 11 a.m. service, Sunday, May 11 they will honor our mothers and give glory to God for the blessings of a Godly mother. There will be only one service on that day to allow everyone who can to visit and spend time with their mother. The pastor is Rev. Frank Harrellson.
