Lillian Lewis Martin, 88 Funeral for Mrs. Lillian Lewis Martin, 88, was held Sat. May 3, 2008 with interment following at Swainsboro City Cemetary with Rev. Wayne DeFore officiating. Mrs. Martin died Tues. April 29 at Palm Terrace Nursing Home in Lakeland Fla. She was born Feb. 25, 1920 in Swainsboro to the late Thomas George and Annie (Waller) Lewis. She was a cosmetician for Rich's department store in Atlanta for many years before moving to Bartow, Fla. with her late husband, Coleman Martin. She was a long-time member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Bartow, a member of the Bartow Art Guild and former member of the Ridge Orchid Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Mary Crowe. She is survived by three sisters, Lucille Hill of Swainsboro, Geneva Rhoden of Augusta and Virginia Hall of Wadley, also numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Whidden-McLean Funeral Home of Bartow had charge of arrangements. Local arrangements were made by Tomlinson Funeral Home of Swainsboro.
