Wanda Lamb Powell, 70 Funeral services for Wanda Lamb Powell, 70, were Saturday, May 3rd, at 1 p.m. in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating. Interment was in the Swainsboro City Cemetery. She died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at the Emanuel Medical Center after an extended illness. Mrs. Powell was a native of Emanuel County, a homemaker and a Methodist. She was a former employee of the Citizens Bank of Swainsboro and the Swainsboro Stockyard. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Lon Brown and Floyd Brown, Jr. and her parents, Moyese and Lilllian Hooks Lamb. Survivors include her husband, Larry Powell of Swainsboro; one step-son, Larry Casey Powell of N. Augusta; one sister, Sara Logue of Twin City. Pallbearers are Scott Lamb, Jim Hampton, Jamie Hampton, Clay Rowland, Robert Rowland and Chaz Logue. Honorary Pallbearers are Wade Bedingfield and employees of Swainsboro Stockyard.
