250 Mile 'Push for Awareness'
This single mother of five hit her 100th mile near Coleman Chapel A.M.E. outside of Swainsboro, and plans to reach her destination in next 18-20 days. The trip is around 270 miles. She is walking in memory of her sister, Heather, who passed away as a victim of circumstances as a child and to promote child abuse, child neglect, and sexual assault awareness through the group she started called STOP-WATCH & Respond. She is adamant that the public should be aware of child abuse and neglect during more than just the month that draws attention to it.
