New "Hymns from the Heart" by Swainsboro Missionary

REV. CLIFF HUNNICUTT AND HIS WIFE
The Harvester Baptist Mission at 939 West Main St. in Swainsboro has compiled a book of new hymns entitled "Hymns from the Heart of Your Missionary." All of the hymns were written by Rev. Cliff Hunnicutt, the founder of the mission. Copies of the hymnbook, accompanied by recorded CD's are being prepared for Baptist churches and individuals who have prayed and faithfully supported the missionary ministry of Cliff and Eloise Hunnicutt in Southeast Asia. The Harvester Baptist Mission was born and incorporated in the heart of missionaries before they departed with their two children in Sept. 1965 to serve God in India. Moving the center of their mission overseas work from India to Singapore in 1968, they have since that time ministered to areas across Southeast Asia for more than forty years.

The new hymns collection, "Hymns From Your Missionary's Heart," is composed of adults' worship hymns, children's hymns and children's chorus'. Two CD recordings have been prepared to accompany the adult's worship hymns by two of Rev. Hunnicutt's gifted granddaughters. Alaine Hunnicutt, who recorded a disc of piano mediations of the adult's worship hymns, is the daughter of Rev. Hunnicutt's son, Cliff Hunnicutt III, now residing in Troutman, N.C. Another granddaughter, Julie Anderson of Swainsboro, recorded a disc of piano accompaniments for the adult's worship hymns. Julie is the wife of Eric Anderson, president of Anderson's Quality Homes in Swainsboro, and she is the daughter of Terri Compton of Swainsboro. Two additional piano accompaniments of children's hymns and children's chorus' were prepared by another gifted pianist, Mrs. Georgia Tio, a former Singaporean, now a staff member of the Mission in Swainsboro.

Before the beginning of their work in India in 1964, Rev. Hunnicutt was inspired to write the first of more than 50 hymns. That hymn, "For Me to Live is Christ," became the theme of their missionary labors for the remainder of their years overseas. All of the new hymns were personally inspired from experiences on the mission field, where Rev. Hunnicutt and his wife are still actively engaged in their missionary work throughout Southeast Asia.
