Johnnie Randolph Way Sr., 85 Funeral services for Johnnie Randolph Way, Sr., 85, were Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the Oak Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Jenkins and Rev. Morris Brantley officiating. Interment was in the Oak Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. He died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at the Emanuel Medical Center Nursing Home after an extended illness. Mr. Way was a veteran with the U S Navy serving during WWII and a long standing member of Oak Chapel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by is wife Ruth Elene Way and two sons Tony Way and Ricky Way. Survivors include his wife, Velma Youmans Way; one daughter and son-in-law, Annie and Carlton Copeland of Kite; two sons and three daughters in-law, Johnny and Vicki Way, and Julie Way all of Swainsboro and Glenn and Libby Way of Twin City; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are grandsons Wesley Way, Jeremy Way, Dustin Way, Robert Copeland, Richard Copeland, and Jason Lewis.
