Eugene "Nip" Davis, 63 Akron,OH--Funeral for Eugene "Nip" Davis, 63, was held Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 12 Noon at Stewart and Calhoun Funeral Home in Akron, OH with Elder Wiley Powell Jr. officiating. Interment was held at Lakewood Cemetery. Mr. Davis died on March 29, 2008. Mr. Davis was the son of the late Mr. Johnny "Bud" Davis and Lizzie Mae Wilcher, both of Emanuel County, Ga. He was born in Emanuel County, and was a member of Holy Temple Apostolic Church. He was the owner of G.L. Davis Trucking Company of Akron, OH. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife Louise Davis; three sons, David "Lewis" Davis, John Pryor of NM, and Walter Howard of Akron, OH; two daughters, Melissa Lewis of NM, Cealie Â. Brooks of Atlanta; Nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild; seven sisters, Ann Johnson, Jeanette Mincey both of Miami, Fla., Pauline Jordan, Mae Clyde Davis, Christine Turner, Catherine Doyle and Mary E. Davis all from Swainsboro. Also, four brothers, Johnny Lee Davis, Willie Edward Davis and Darvin Davis all of Akron, OH; and brother Marvin Davis of Lisman, AL. Pallbearers and flower bearers are family and friends. Stewart and Calhoun Funeral Home of Akron, OH had charge of arrangements.
