SMS boys and girls tennis in full swing Swainsboro Middle School tennis teams have been practicing for the last month and are ready to begin their matches. Both girls and boys squads have been working hard and the teams will begin on Friday, April 11th at the home courts of Harmon Park here in Swainsboro. They will play host to a always tough Bleckley County team. Matches will begin at 4:00. Returning players for the girls team are Vanessa Morris, Anna Torrance, Lauren Murphy, and Sierra Crowe. Newcomers to the team are Danielle Foots, Victoria Jones, Dee Young, Tashima Carlyle, Kellie Henry, Caley Cavannah and Stephanie Oglesby. The girls took home a trophy last year as region runner-ups, so they are looking to bring home a first place trophy this year. The boys returning from last year are Peter Chrysosferidis, Dane Cochran, Damon Cochran, and Ryne Sutton. Joining these boys are Gordon Nail, Austin Proctor, Justin Riner, Drew Cann and Kyle Henry.
