Arts to host "The Ugly Duckling"
While geared for children, the production also appeals to older audiences. "This is an excellent opportunity to share a live theater experience with your child," commented Emanuel Arts Council Director Bobbie Daughtry. "Or just to enjoy seeing a professional musical performance," she added. Richmond, Virginia's Theatre IV returns to Swainsboro after a highly successful visit earlier this year when a different troupe performed "Buffalo Soldier." One of the largest professional touring companies for children's theater in the country, Theatre IV performances are seen by about 2 million children each year. The LaPetite Series is funded through the Southern Arts Federation; the National Endowment for the Arts which believes a great nation deserves great art; and the Mill Creek Foundation.
