On April 2, the boys and girls Tiger tennis teams traveled to Screven County. They came with big spirits, confident in what they were going to do, and mostly just glad to be there. Despite enduring heavy losses, they left the same way. That's what makes a team a team. They keep on trying and never give up.

The girls and boys teams played hard in their matches against Screven. It just seemed as if every time they would gain a little bit against their opponents they would counter by coming back twice as hard. Lots of points were given away by unforced errors as well. It was just getting in the Tigers' heads how their opponents were so unforgiving. Despite this, the Tigers still played well. They faced some extremely tough opponents at Screven County and I'm sure when it comes time to play them again it will be different. The boys and girls teams were both unfortunately defeated 5-0 by Screven County. They were not completely beaten by Screven though. Jared Sammons and Michael Henry managed to defeat Screven in an exhibition match.

The Tigers may have been beaten by Screven, but they are no where close to giving up. The season is still wide open and the Tigers are going to give it everything they've got. Thursday, April 10, the Tigers will play the Metter Tigers at East Georgia College and Harmon Park. The game is a region match. Please come out and support the Tigers!
