Thigpen, Turner announce engagement
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Betty McDonald of Lyons and the late Mr. Roy Graham and Ms. Nelle Thigpen of Lyons and the late Mr. Brooks Thigpen. Miss Thigpen is a graduate of Vidalia High School and is currently attending Darton College, pursing a degree in nursing. The groom-elect is the grandson of Ms. Mary Kottong of Swainsboro and the late Pete Kottong and Mr. and Mrs. John Turner of Twin City. Mr. Turner is a graduate of Swainsboro High School and is currently attending Georgia Southern University, pursing a degree in chemistry. The wedding is planned for July 19, 2008, 4 p.m., at Trinity Baptist Church in Vidalia. A reception will follow at the Vidalia Community Center.
