Optional feature tracks vehicle

WORTHEN
On Friday, April 4, 2008, Rodney Rodrigues Worthen, 24, drove to his Gumlog Rd. address in a stolen 2007 Chevy Tahoe, gold in color, with a Richmond County tag. The vehicle was being tracked by the OnStar system contained therein. Minutes after the vehicle was shut off at the Gumlog Rd. residence, police were directed to the scene by the electronic surveylance system. Worthen was arrested after a short foot race that ensued after he exited the residence through the bedroom window. "Well done to Sgt. Lanier Griswold, Corp. Wendall Bell, and Deputies Wheeler, Fagler and Payne," says Chief Shuman. "Also well done to Detective Joe Cephus, who handled the case."
