Tigers are on the ball!
BY MICHAEL HENRY

Swainsboro Tiger baseball has been off and running for a few weeks now. You can often look down at the baseball fields after school is over and see the boys. Their hard work in practice is really beginning to show off.

The Tigers played Laney on Tuesday, March 25. Javec King pitched a good game, but it just wasn't enough to beat Laney. It was still close, however, with a final score of 4-3. Who can win without losing, though? It's what makes a team better. You learn from your mistakes, and that's exactly what the Tigers did.

Wednesday, March 26, the Tigers traveled to Cross Creek. Wade Farrow pitched an excellent game and with the help of his team won the game 5-3. King unsurprisingly went 2-4, while Chris Keyton and Austin Peebles both went 2-3. The Tigers weren't through yet. They played Jefferson County away on Friday, March 28. The Tigers really put some points on the board this time. They defeated Jefferson County 12-6. Corey Chalker went 2-2 with a homerun. Kyle Williams, Peebles and Justin Newsome all got 2 hits and earned 2 RBIs.

This Friday the Tigers will be playing Southeast Bulloch away at 5:30 pm. Be sure to support the Tigers any way you can!
