Miss Riles honored at linen shower

MISS RILES WITH HOSTESSES AND GUESTS

Miss Christie Riles, bride-elect of Brad Riner, was honored at a linen shower February 16 at the lovely home of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Meeks. Fresh flowers were throughout the Meeks home. Helping Mrs. Meeks host this event were Mrs. Janie Williamson, Mrs. Erin May, Mrs. Nita Livingston, Mrs. Nancy Gross, Mrs. Tammy Gray and Mrs. Tammy Claxton.

A delicious morning brunch consisting of cinnamon french toast sticks topped with hot appple pie filling and a dollop of whipped cream, grilled little smokies, a wedge of cheddar cheese and a fanned strawberry along with coffee and orange juice. Mrs. Meeks said a special blessing for the soon to be bride and groom.

Miss Riles was lovely in a black skirt and cream sweater and was presented a corsage to complete her attire. She received many useful gifts for her future home and was presented a special gift by the hostesses.

Special guests included Mrs. Debbie Riles and Mrs. Glenda Riner, mothers of the couple; Mrs. Brooke Stubbs, sister of the groom-elect; Mrs. JoAnn Lane; Mrs. Evelyn Patrick; Mrs. Betty Jean Andrews and Mrs. Tori Andrews and Landon Andrews, aunts and cousins.

The future bride expressed appreciation to the hostesses for helping celebrate her upcoming marriage and gave each of them a decorative white embossed flower pot.
