Swainsboro in the news!

Swainsboro and Emanuel County hit the national news last week. The Forest-Blade was mentioned on The David Letterman Show on Monday, March 17; and the Stillmoreroots Group is featured in the April issue of Southern Living magazine.

Letterman, who does a humorous weekly segment called "Small Town News," read a photo caption from The Forest-Blade's Sept. 19, 2007 issue, "Suspicious Package?" The item may be read free online at www.forestblade. com.

Southern Living interviewed The Stillmoreroots Group last year. Its members are residents of Swainsboro and Stillmore. The 2008 Art in the Woods is slated this Saturday, from 10 a.m. to dusk.
