Police arrest two after Friday night burglaries

FRADY
Swainsboro Police arrested Thomas R. Frady, 39, in the early morning hours Saturday after a seven hour search. Frady is charged with the burglary of DMN Trucking that took place on Friday. Swainsboro Police Department expresses gratitude for assistance from the Department of Correction's canines from Georgia State Prison in Reidsville, as well as Emanuel County Deputies that assisted in the search and arrest of Frady. After recovering photographic and physical evidence (including DNA) at the scene, a lookout was issued for Frady. He was arrested after midnight on Saturday. The burglary took place between seven and eight in the evening on Friday.

At around 11 p.m. on Friday, police were notified of a break-in at Title- Max on South Main Street and were close enough to the scene to see the subject fleeing the area. The subject was chased down behind Harvey's Supermarket into a patch of woods and arrested. Benjamin Lee Rogers, 29, of Metter was identified by the Department of Corrections Inmate Identity Card he had on his person and was arrested for the TitleMax break-in.

ROGERS
Saturday morning, Swainsboro Police Department received a call of a burglary at the First Baptist Church. After a thorough crime scene investigation, Rogers was charged. Rogers is also the person of interest in the investigation of the Moose Lodge burglary, also Friday night.

Police Chief Johnny Shuman said, "Well done to Detective Coleman Hall, Sergeant Bryan Moore, Corporal Newton Meadows, Corporal Craig Morris and officer Robert Phillips for their due diligence and efforts."
