NASCAR!

Students, faculty and staff of East Georgia College were recently treated to pizza, colas, and a real NASCAR. The participants had the opportunity to strap in and drive Jeff Gordon's #24 Dupont Chevy Monte Carlo. The $500,000 NASCAR was modified by Motorsports Karamer to become the most advanced racing simulator on the planet. The EGC students were able to experience the ultimate thrill of NASCAR driving in the simulator while their friends watched the racing monitors. This Dupont NASCAR NEXTEL CUP car was actually driven in a real race by NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon. The car has been featured on NBC's "The Today Show" and at NASCAR tracks around the country. The event was sponsored by EGC student activities at the college and is one of many exciting opportunities offered throughout each semester at EGC.
