OVERSTREET

SWAINSBORO--Funeral for Janice Lynn Overstreet, 51, was held Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Swainsboro, GA with the Rev. Ray Jenkins and Dr. Robert Blankenship officiating. Burial was in Bithynia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. She died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.

Mrs. Overstreet was a native of Emanuel County where she owned and operated Something Special Childcare for 28 years. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Swainsboro and attended Oak Chapel Church. Mrs. Overstreet was preceded in death by her father Rudolph "Doc" McBride.

Survivors include her husband, Jeff Overstreet of Swainsboro; a daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Jake Maxwell of Glen Cove, N.Y.; two sons, Chris Webb of Darien; and Jason Webb of Swainsboro; her mother, Evelyn McBride of Swainsboro; five sisters, Patsy Edmonds of Ohio; Nancy Burke and Judy Bomeisl of Atlanta; Jean Moore of Nunez; and Joan Turner of Macon; two grandchildren, Lillie and Daniel Webb of Darien.

Pallbearers were Lee Canady, Delmus Browning, Matt Tompkins, Douglas Overstreet, Andrew Edmonds, Paul Burke, Jesse Riner and Al Moore.
