Smoking cessation classes offered at EMC Emanuel Medical Center is taking steps to help individuals kick the smoking habit by offering FreshStart Smoking Cessation classes. The classes are held each Monday (with the exception of every 5th Monday) from 12:15 - 1:15 p.m. Bob Neil, LPC is the facilitator. There is no charge to attend and the classes are open to the public. To register or for more information contact Beth Hudson, director of community relations, 478-289-1356. Classes will be held in Emanuel Medical Center's classroom. To protect and promote good health, Emanuel Medical Center is going tobacco- free beginning March 1. Smoking and the use of other tobacco products will not be permitted anywhere on hospital property, both inside or outside. This policy applies to everyone including staff, patients, visitors and physicians.
