SHS wrestling competes in area tournament
      Swainsboro High School Wrestling team recently competed in the 2AA Area Tournament hosted by Toombs County High School. The Tigers placed 3rd out of 17 teams in the twoday tournament. Dublin and Toombs County finished ahead of the Tigers. The Tigers ended the day with 155 team points.

Lady Eagles finish second in region

      The Lady Eagles of David Emanuel Academy finished second in the GISA region 2-A basketball tournament played at East Georgia College in Swainsboro last week. This was the highest finish in region tournament play in 13 years for the Lady Eagles who won the title back in 1995.

Dixie Youth Registration
      Swainsboro Dixie Youth Baseball will be holding registration for baseball on Friday, Feb. 22 from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 23 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Registration will also be open on Friday Feb. 29 from 4 p.m.
