Good service is noticed DEAR EDITOR: In a space where we have come to expect complaints it might be fun to find a compliment. On a cool February afternoon our alarm system at home announced an "AC Fault," indicating trouble with the alternating current. Some of the lights were dim, and some were dead. We called Georgia Power, expecting to talk to somebody in India. We anticipated an evening with no TV, no computer, no supper, and, worst of all, no heat. Instead we got an understanding lady who assured us that help would be over right away. Within 30 minutes Dale Hardin showed up driving a bucket truck. He checked the meter and then the transformer where he found a loose wire which he proceeded to repair, thanks to the bucket truck, and on came the lights. The world turned upside down. We could check the internet, get the latest political guessing on the TV, cook supper, listen to the pleasant sound of heat coming through the vents, and all the while we could see what we were doing!
That's what is known as good service, and it shouldn't go unnoticed.
