House fire
      The home of Ashley Riner, investigator with Emanuel County Sheriff's Department, was destroyed by fire Tuesday, Feb. 12. Cause of the fire is still unknown. McCain, Obama win in Emanuel County
      John McCain and Barack Obama were the big winners in Emanuel County on Super Tuesday during the Presidential Preference Primary. Out of 11,000 registered voters in Emanuel County, 3,842 votes were cast. McCain (R) received 900 votes and Obama (D) garnered 1,000 votes.

     On a recent Saturday, a number of Swainsboro Kiwanians gathered at the vineyard at LH Weise's. They trimmed the grapevines in the cool February morning weather.
