McCain, Obama win in Emanuel County

 

John McCain and Barack Obama were the big winners in Emanuel County on Super Tuesday, Feb. 5 during the Presidential Preference Primary. Out of 11,000 registered voters in Emanuel County, 3,842 votes were cast. McCain (R) received 900 votes and Obama (D) garnered 1,000 votes. 

In second place for the Democrats was Hillary Clinton, who received  773 votes. In second place for the Republicans was Mike Huckabee, with 695 votes.

Results include all Absentee (including Advance Voting) and all votes cast in the precincts on Election Day.
