Exchange Club Pancake Supper

Council proposes going 'tobacco-free'

      Dr. Dennis Handcock, Extension Agronomist for forages has announced an opportunity for hay producers called "2008 Hay Production School." The school is geared to commercial hay producers and those who are attempting to be more efficient at producing highquality hay for their own operation.

Art Stroll set for February 9
      On Saturday, Feb. 9, Swainsboro hosts its community wide Art Stroll from 5-8 p.m. in the downtown arts district. Some of this month's features are Gallery RFD's show, "The New World: America," an exhibition that explores how the perceptions of America have evolved culturally and historically.

EAC launches community concert series
      Emanuel Arts Council opened a new series of community concerts with a performance Saturday, Jan. 26, at Stillmore Community House. The series will feature local musicians in towns around Emanuel County, with the purpose of promoting the Arts in smaller towns outside Swainsboro.
