SFD temporary office holds ribbon cutting
      "An example of how involved government and involved citizens can make good things happen." That was the message from Mayor Charles Schwabe on Friday as ribbon cutting ceremonies were held for the new temporary Administrative Office and Training facility for Swainsboro Fire Department.

Nanotechnology center located at Tech
      The National Nano Technology Manufacturing Center in Swainsboro, is temporarily located in the robotics lab facilities at Swainsboro Technical College. Mr. Tracy Becker, Operations Manager for NNMC, is overseeing the installation of various new nanotechnology related equipment for the center.
