Christine Copeland, 60 SWAINSBORO--Funeral for Christine Copeland, 60, was held Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Kelmer Durden officiating. Burial was in Hutcheson Cemetery in Treutlen County. She died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008 at Heritage Healthcare in Swainsboro. Mrs. Copeland was a native of Emanuel County and the daughter of the late Bill and Mildred Hutcheson Noeller. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Gillis. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Copeland of Swainsboro; a son, Donald Bessent of Tennessee; a daughter, Tina Lawrence of Hiawatha, Kansas; three sisters, Betty Mullins of Holton, Kansas; and Louise Ferguson and Debra Pinkard of Poquoson, Va.; special nieces, Renee Copeland of Meeks; Jennie McCaskill of Dellwood; Kathy Padgett of Twin City; and Christie Oglesby of Collins. Pallbearers were nephews. Johnson Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
