Robert L. 'Coot' Johnson Sr., 81 TWIN CITY--Funeral for Robert L. "Coot" Johnson, Sr., 81, was held Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at 2 p.m. in Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating. Burial was in Twin City City Cemetery. He died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008 at St. Joseph/Candler Hospital in Savannah after a brief illness. Mr. Johnson was a native of Emanuel County, a retired farmer and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brode Johnson, Sr. and Ada Bishop Johnson; and his wife, Frances Johnson. Survivors include two sons, Bobby Johnson, Jr. of Twin City; and Darrell Johnson of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters, Bonnie Stewart of Portal; and Peggy Williams of Titusville; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Gary Stewart, Calvin Stewart, Darrell Johnson Jr., Scott Stevens, Robert Brandon Foote, Phagin Watson. Condolences may be submitted on-line at www.durden-hudsonfuneraldirectors. com.
