Police Report Swainsboro police officers reported: Jan. 7 A Kenneth Dr. woman reported that the suspect, who was identified, pushed a shopping cart into her car while she was at Fred's. A Mason Dr. woman reported that she allowed her child to go home with his father and his father refuses to return the child. A Daniels Chevrolet employee reported that he rented a vehicle to the suspect and when she returned it, the vehicle was damaged. A Hammonds Ferry Rd. man reported that his company had installed a heating and air unit in one of their newly built homes before Christmas and when he returned to the home the unit was gone. A Scott's Mini Storage employee reported that someone has been illegally dumping tires on the property. An E. Main St. man reported that he was working on a car and it backfired, catching fire. He yelled to another man to get the fire extinguisher to put out the fire, but he grabbed a bottle of clear liquid, thinking it was water, and poured it on the fire. It was methanol, which caused the fire to explode, catching the man on fire. An Oak Grove Church Rd. woman reported a drop in her credit score because of an account her father opened using her social security number. A Ponderosa Dr. woman reported firing a chronically tardy and absent employee, and the employee got upset and shouted at the woman, then left, taking the store keys with her. Jan. 8 An Outland St., Statesboro woman reported her tag was stolen while her vehicle was being worked on. A S. Main St. Chevron employee reported a case of public indecency. A McLeod Bridge Rd. woman reported that she let her ex-husband take their daughter to Philadelphia for the holidays and now he refuses to bring her back. An E. Pine St. woman reported that the complainant, who was identified, stated he would blow her up. A Chevron employee reported a man exposing himself in the store. Jan. 9 A King Circle Dr. woman reported that someone entered her vehicle and took two pocketbooks. A N. Green St. woman reported receiving a check in the mail and checked to see if it was fake, then turned it over to the police for further investigation. Jan. 10 An E. Pine St. woman reported that, when her brother visits her house, he breaks things. Jan. 11 A S. Green St. woman reported that the suspect, who was identified, continually comes to her business requesting back wages. Jan. 12 AKing Circle Dr. man reported that the suspect, who was identified, constantly calls his cell phone threatening him. A Ben St. woman reported that someone took her son's bicycle. An Allen St. woman reported that someone stole her daughter's bicycle. Jan. 13 An Old Nunez Rd. man reported that someone broke out the passenger side window of his truck. Nothing appeared to be taken at the time. A Temps Shop and Go employee reported that someone pumped $60 of gas and drove off without paying.
