Bessie T. McCuen, 87 SWAINSBORO--Graveside service for Bessie T. McCuen, 87, was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Greenwood, S.C. She died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008 at Emanuel County Nursing Home in Swainsboro after and extended illness. Mrs. McCuen was a native of Greenville County, SC a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred McCuen; and her parents, Luther and Lillie Mae Sims Thompson. She was a member of Henderson Baptist Church in Hickory Tavern, S.C. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Sandra Mc- Cuen of Swainsboro; two sisters, Dot Cooper of Fountain Inn, S.C.; and Jenny Davis of Greenville, S.C.; and a brother, Kenneth Thompson of Ware Shoals, S.C. Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors had charge of arrangements.
