This was quite an accomplishment to be recognized as a Best Practices Quality Hospital for improving and maintaining indicators for the Pneumonia Core Measures. (The core measures track the percentage of time patients received all the appropriate care for which they were eligible.)

Emanuel Medical Center also achieved the Georgia Hospital Association's (GHA) "Top CARE Hospital" award, GHA's gold standard for excellence in patient care for maintaining its standing in the top quartile of its peer group for at least three years.
