Swainsboro Police to receive $282,000

Congress recently approved a funding request by Congressman John Barrow (GA-12) that will directly benefit Emanuel County. Included in the Omnibus Appropriations bill is an appropriation of $282,000 in federal funds for Swainsboro Police Department. The money will be used to build a new Public Safety Facility.

"This funding is an investment in the future of Emanuel County," Barrow said. "The law enforcement officers who protect the Swainsboro community will be getting the state-of-the-art facility they deserve. Once it's completed, this new facility will allow the police department to provide a much higher level of service to local citizens."
