      One person was sentenced in Emanuel County Superior Court Wednesday, Dec. 19 by Judge Kathy S.Palmer, Middle Judicial Circuit. Sara Griner Wheatley negotiated a plea of guilty on count 1, burglary; counts 2-6, forgery in the first degree; and count 7, theft by taking.

      U.S. Marine Corps Reserve held its annual Toys for Tots program this year. ABAC dean's list
      Christopher C. Carter from Midville and Keri R. House from Swainsboro have been included on the dean's list at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College for fall term. Students on the list attained a minimum grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale and carried at least 12 hours of academic work.
