Lois Dickerson Moye, 88 ATHENS--Funeral for Lois Dickerson Moye, 88, was held Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007 at 3 p.m. in Peebles Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wayne DeFore and Dr. Bobby Sasser officiating. Entombment was in Eastbrook Cemetery & Mausoleum. She died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at the Arbor Terrace Assisted Living Center. Mrs. Moye was a native of Homerville, a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Swainsboro. She was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class and the Saturday Night Supper Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert J. Moye and son, Dr. Robert James Moye, Jr. Survivors include two sons and three daughtersin law, Charles Graybill "Chuck" and Donna Moye of Thomson; Dr. Daniel Dickerson Moye and Becky Moye of Athens; and Teri Moye of Warner Robins; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bill Rogers, Jr., Alex Grindler, Wilbur Stephens, Denny Key, Chris Grindler, Danny Tapley, Butch Parrish and Jeff Peebles. Honorary escorts were Jay Youngblood, Bill Rountree, Dr. James Ray, Sid Shepherd and Dr. Bobby Sasser, Bill McWhorter and M. L. Reid.
