History was made!

History was made by the Emanual County Institute football team Friday night. The Bulldogs completed a perfect season and won their first ever state championship.

The football players are the stars on the field and we applaud them one and all. From off season weight training to summer two-a-day practices, these outstanding young men made many sacrifices on the way to the championship. Their success was a team effort and they will always hold a place in our hearts as champions.

While the football players are the stars of the gridiron, countless others contributed to this historic event in Emanuel County. To name a few, the student body of the school, the coaches and all the faculty of ECI, the band leading the music, the cheerleaders keeping the fans into the game. And of course, the fans, whether alumni, family members or just fans of the Bulldogs. Countless people contributed to this season for the ages.

Let's all bask in the warm glow or community pride as we honor our Bulldogs and all Bulldogs at heart.
