Pritchard participates in area FFAevent in Soperton

PRITCHARD
Swainsboro FFA member Beau Prtichard recently attended the Area IV FFAAgricultural Electrification workshop. The event was held at Treutlen County High School in Soperton.

Participants at the FFA Agricultural Electrification Career workshop were trained on the proper use of electrical tools, presented a speech/demonstration on an electrical energyrelated topic, answered problem solving questions pertaining to electrical wiring and rural electrification and completed an assigned wiring problem based on The National Electrical Code. Participants also enjoyed a Barbeque Supper sponsored by Altamaha EMC.

FFA is a national organization of over 449,000 members preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture. FFA is an integral part of the agricultural education program in public schools. The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

Pritchard, a sophomore, is the son of Rusty and Pam Pritchard of Swainsboro. Tim Parker is Swainsboro FFA advisor.

The FFA Agricultural Electrification Career Development Event is sponsored by Georgia's Electric Membership Corporations as a special project of the Georgia FFA Foundation.
