Mary Jean Edwards, 82 DUBLIN--Funeral services for Mary Jean Edwards, 82, will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007 at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Grady Mimbs and Rev. Jim Fennell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007 at Fairview Park Hospital. Mrs. Edwards was born on March 1, 1925 in Emanuel County. She was the daughter of the late Rowell Manche and Mary Jane "Jennie" Daniel Stanley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Buford Otto Edwards, Sr. She was retired as a Nurse at Groveland Nursing Home and Dublinair Nursing Home. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and was also a member of the prayer line. She is survived by her two sons, Howard (Carol) Stanley Edwards of Dublin; Dr. Buford (Donna) Otto Edwards Jr., of Watkinsville; three daughters, Jacquelyn Helen Edwards McConnell of Valley Grande, Ala.; Carole (George) Deanne Edwards Scott of Metter; and Mary (Tom) Jean Edwards Lord of Granger, Ind.; a sister, Alice Stanley Marchman of Macon; 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Edwards Grandsons, David Sapp, Thomas Lord, Jonathan McConnell, Paul Scott, John Lord, and Tad Edwards. In lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Diabetes Association at P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720 or to the New Bethel Baptist Church at 3051 Highway 257, Dublin, Georgia 31021. Stanley Funeral Home of Dublin has charge of arrangements.
