Ealey holds new state record
By AGAN TANKERSLEY

"I'm just trying to play team ball, just trying to win a state championship," Ealey said after running for four touchdowns to raise his season total to 48 during the Bulldogs' 35-0 victory over Dooly County in the second round of the playoffs at Rountree Stadium on Friday night. "Washaun was outstanding," ECI head coach Milan Turner said. "He's done this all year."

Washaun Ealey finished with touchdown runs of 5, 2, 3 and 15 yards while running for 126 yards on 22 carries. He passed the record of Buford's Darius Walker, who ran for 46 touchdowns in 2003. Johnson County's Herschel Walker (1979) and Miller County's Charles Grant (1997) had 45.

Ealey really faced a tough game against Dooly when the players showed their poor sportsmanship during and after the game. Ealey was pulled down by his facemask on many occasions. Even as the game came was about to end, it was obvious that Dooly's defense was just trying to injure the 5-foot-11, 208- pound junior.

After all the controversy in Friday night's game, Ealey just smiled as he walked off the field thinking about all the hard work that has finally paid off.
