Rev. Pearce to speak at Hillcrest BC
      Rev. Louis Pearce will deliver the homecoming message at Hillcrest Baptist Church Sunday, Dec. 2. Service begins at 10:30 a.m. and special music will be featured. Lunch will be served in the social hall. Rev. Pearce is presently the bivocational pastor employed at Tomlinson Funeral Home.

      Local students to represent Emanuel County in the 2008 Governor's Honors competition were selected recently. This year Emanuel County will have six students competing for the opportunity to attend the six-week Governor's Honors Program.

Seedling Garden Club holds auction
      Seedling Garden Club met on Monday, Nov. 12 at the home of Mrs. Martha Cobb. This meeting was the annual auction held to make money for club projects, one of which is beautification of the Emanuel County Court House. Members brought items to be auctioned.
