Matthew Walker, 53 AUGUSTA--Funeral for Matthew Walker, 53, was held Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007 at 12 noon at Mt. Zion AME Church with Rev. Brenda N. Brown officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion AME Church Cemetery. He died Nov. 9, 2007. Mr. Walker was born on June 11, 1954 in Emanuel County to the late JB Walker and Mandy Lee Bady Walker. He attended school in Emanuel County and joined Mt. Zion AME Church. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Joe E. Walker and Mollie M. Nelson. Survivors include six children, Debra Mikell of Aiken, S.C.; Betty Ann Walker of Atlanta; Shawn Coleman of Swainsboro; Michael Walker of Augusta; Matthew and Ivan Walker of Mississippi; two sisters and two brothers, Ella Mae Lovett of Swainsboro; and Annie Lee Ellison of Portal; Daniel Walker of Augusta; and John Willie Walker of Swainsboro; and four grandchildren. Mosley's Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
