Eugene Whicker, 61 SWAINSBORO--Funeral for Eugene Whicker, 61, was held Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Mosley's Funeral Home with Minister Gladys Whicker officiating. Burial was in Swainsboro City Cemetery. He died Nov. 17, 2007 at his residence after a brief illness. Mr. Whicker was born on May 9, 1946 to the late Willie and Claudia Whicker. He was educated in the Emanuel County School System. He was a member of St. Philip Baptist Church of Swainsboro. He was preceded in death by seven siblings. Survivors include his daughter, Winifred Hunter of Wadley; two sisters, Willie Mae Armstrong of Swainsboro; and Ira L. Givens of Philadelphia, Penn.; two brothers, Royal Whicker of Swainsboro; and Johnny Whicker Sr. of Tampa Fla.; and four grandchildren. Mosley's Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
