Collins, a convicted felon, was found to be in possession of a handgun and in violation of the Superior Court Order. He was arrested and charged with aggravated stalking (felony), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime and violation of federal probation. Emanuel County Sheriff Tyson Stephens said, "This has been an ongoing, volatile situation regarding this Protective Order. The Sheriff's Office and the Garfield Police have had numerous calls related to the matter. I want to personally thank Chief Curtis Armstrong for his quick response to the situations. I feel that he certainly prevented a death or serious injury to the victim and others involved." Collins is currently being held without bond in the Emanuel County Jail awaiting warrants from Federal Authorities.
