Coleman, candidate for mayor of Twin City, has appealed the results of the general election held in Twin City on Nov. 6. Coleman is requesting a second or special election. A hearing for the petition will be held Monday, Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. at Emanuel County Courthouse before the Honorable William M. Towson Sr. Coleman filed a letter at the Clerk of Court's office and has asserted: • A tabulation of the posted results are not conclusive of all precincts; • The county/city has three precincts and only two of which have had votes tabulated and published to date. Total number of votes for all candidates only reflect 66.6 percent of the vote. The third precinct is still unaccounted for and is in question; • No account for provisional ballots were reported; • Possible tampering of voting machine equipment; • Conflict of interest with lead poll manager, Clark Dixon; • Overall number versus fundamental and rational/logistics of election is speculative and coincidental. In a letter to Jeb Cameron, director of Elections, Coleman had asked for a "breakdown of voters by race" and "state documents explaining precinct as category terminology as opposed to geographic location and district." Cameron responded that his office "cannot fulfill your request because such documentation does not exist and is not available to our office."
