Bypass wreck

This wreck occurred Wednesday, Nov. 14 at about 8:03 a.m. According to a preliminary report from Georgia State Patrol, Tommie Lamar Soles of Douglas was driving a Volvo tractor trailer on Hwy. 1 North and Cory Ryan Morris Claxton of Kite was driving a Chevy S-10 south on Hwy. 1. At the intersection of Hwy. 1 and Old Nunez Rd, Claxton attempted to make a left turn onto Old Nunez Rd. He failed to yield to Soles, who struck Claxton on the right passenger door. Soles skidded approximately 241 feet before impact.
