Dayfall to perform benefit concert

DAYFALL
Dayfall will perform a concert to benefit the Emanuel Arts Council on Saturday, Dec. 15 at Swainsboro-Emanuel County Auditorium. Concert begins at 8 p.m., doors open at 7:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $10, available at Emanuel Arts Center, Gallery RFD and from EAC board members. Admission at the door will be $12. Call Emanuel Arts at 478-237-2592 for more information.

Formed in early 2007, by local musicians Grayson Johnson (drums), Shane DeLoach (guitar), and Blake Nimmons (bass) with Scott Jarrad (vocals) and Benji Taylor both of Hazelhurst, the rock band has already attracted a large following throughout the southeast. Combining the raw narrative vocals of frontman Jarrad, the skilled guitar mastery of DeLoach and Taylor, the outside-the-box style of Nimmons and the intense technicality of Johnson's drumming, Dayfall is dedicated to a sound that most thought was long forgotten. Recent winners of the LaVela Night Club Battle of the Bands in Panama City, Florida, they have also won Radio Jones' Pinetree Festival Battle of the Bands among other competitions.
