Geneva Whitehead Lamb, 98

SWAINSBORO--Funeral for Geneva Whitehead Lamb, 98, will be held Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007 at 3 p.m. in Lambs Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Donna Ashworth and Rev. Wayne De- Fore officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Rev. Nick Hazelton officiating. She died Sunday evening, Nov. 11, 2007, at the Emanuel Medical Center after a short illness.

Mrs. Lamb was born in Laurens County, and lived most of her life in Jefferson and Emanuel counties. She was a homemaker and was the oldest member of Lambs Chapel United Methodist Church near Wadley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Burnell Lamb and three sons, George Harrell Lamb, Roy Perry Lamb and Samuel McKinley Lamb.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-inlaw, Ruby and Jerry Fagler and Cora Mae "Cricket" and Charles Salter of Swainsboro; a son and daughter-in-law, Herschel Tommy and Margaret Lamb of Pfafftown, N.C.; a sister, Inez Scarboro of Wadley; nine grandchildren, Tracie Brack of Cummin; Barry Lamb of Pfafftown, N.C.; Davis Lamb of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; Chris Lamb of Dublin; Stuart Fagler, Mitchell Fagler, Jeffrey Coursey and Kim Reese of Swainsboro; and Thomas Coursey of Newnan; nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are grandsons: Barry Lamb, Chris Lamb, Stuart Fagler, Mitchell Fagler, Jeffrey Coursey and Thomas Coursey.
