Sellers (Buddy) Jones, 89 SWAINSBORO--Funeral for Sellers (Buddy) Jones, 89, was held Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Greater St. James Baptist Church with Rev. Bennie Brinson officiating. Burial was in Swainsboro City Cemetery. He died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007 at Emanuel Medical Center after an extended illness. Mr. Jones was a native of Candler County, but had lived in Swainsboro for most of his life where he worked in the forestry industry and was a member of Greater St. James Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Mary Jones Mitchell of Orange, N.J.; Patricia Jones Smith of Irvington, N.J.; Glenda Whitehead of Swainsboro; and Wylene Moore of Atlanta; three sons, Meredith Jones and Sellers Jones Jr. of Swainsboro; and Waitus Jones of Atlanta; and many grandchildren. Reno Tapley Mortuary had charge of arrangements.
