Kathryn Smith Riner, 67

SWAINSBORO--Funeral for Kathryn Smith Riner, 67, was held Friday, Oct. 19, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Union Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Bunny Hudson and Elder Tommy Rountree officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. She died Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the Emanuel Medical Center after a brief illness.

Mrs. Riner was a native of Emanuel County, a homemaker and was old line Primitive Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Smith and Winifred White Smith, son Ronnie Dean Riner, and brother, R. L. Smith, Jr.

Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Kay Oglesby of Swainsboro; two sons, Charles Riner of Nunez; and Darrell Riner of Swainsboro; two sisters, Carolyn Faye Sweat of N.J. and Jane Smith of Swainsboro; two brothers, Lonnie Smith and Harrison Smith of Swainsboro; nine grandchildren, Lisa Riner, Corey Riner, Robert Riner, Kimberly Riner, Kayla Beneteau, Bryceson Oglesby, Dena Walden, Payton Riner and Devin Riner and two great-grandchildren, Caleb Brown and Jayden Beneteau.

Pallbearers were Joe Henry, Bill Hammock, Wayne Robinson, Hugh Riner, Eric Hammock and Lionel Odom.
