Ruth R. Webb, 82 AMERICUS--Funeral for Ruth R.. Webb, 82, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Oglethorpe United Methodist Church in Oglethorpe with the Rev. Joy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens Cemetery. She died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany after a lengthy illness. The family will have a luncheon immediately after graveside service in the church social hall. Mrs. Webb, who was born Nov. 10, 1924, was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Warren Daniel Raburn and Lillie Myrtle Kelly Raburn. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Byron Louis Bunn and David Webb, one sister, and three brothers. She was a homemaker and a member of Oglethorpe United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Warren and Liz Bunn of Byron; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Martha Felker of Oglethorpe, Mary and Wayne Gibson of Leesburg, Kathy Johnson of Americus, and Jeannette and Ronnie Welch of Ellaville, one sister-in-law, Edell Raburn of Athens; a very special "son in heart and spirit," Russell "Cricket" Johnson of Americus; and four grandsons, David Jones of Orlando, Fla., Warren Jones of Vienna, and Shawn Foltz and Spencer Welch of Ellaville. Pallbearers will be David Jones, Warren Jones, Shawn Foltz, Spencer Welch, Wayne Gibson, Ronnie Welch and Cricket Johnson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oglethorpe United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 427, Oglethorpe, GA 31068 or the charity of one's choice. Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma has charge of arrangements.
