Abbie Gandy Davis, 70 CHESTERFIELD, S.C.-- Graveside service for Abbie Gandy Davis, 70, was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007 at Westfield Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. She died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007. Mrs. Davis was born in Hartsville, S.C., the daughter of the late Leo and Blondell Timms Gandy. She was a graduate of Hartsville High School and Florence-Darlington TEC, and was a retired employee of Chesterfield Manufacturing Co. She was a member of Westfield Creek Baptist Church. She was first married to the late John D. Davis and then to the late Franklin "Big Frank" Davis, Jr. and was also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Gandy. Survivors include two sons, John Kyle (Robin) Davis of Cheraw, S.C.; and Franklin (Timmie) Davis III of McFarlan, N.C.; two daughters, Amanda Davis and Nathan Johnson of Chesterfield, S.C.; and Margie Lynn Davis of Keavy, Ky.; a brother, Jerry (Sarah) Gandy of Hartsville, S.C.; and five grandchildren, John Holden Davis, Kylie Marie Davis, Seth Gunner Johnson, Heather Lynn Davis and Chris Smith Memorials may be made to Hospice of Chesterfield County, P.O. Box 293, Chesterfield, SC 29709. Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home of Chesterfield, S.C. had charge of arrangements.
