Otis G. Chalker, 71 SWAINSBORO--Funeral for Otis G. Chalker, 71, was held Friday, Oct. 5, 2007 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Youngblood and Rev. Louis Pearce officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Dellwood. He died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007 at Emanuel Medical Center. Mr. Chalker was a lifelong resident of Emanuel County and was owner and operator of Chalkers Paint and body Shop. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, May Jean Chalker of Swainsboro; four daughters, Rita Tapley (Phillip Love), Connie Chalker (James Glisson) Jan Polan of Swainsboro; and Carol Jean Braswell (Kenneth) of Adrian; a son, Jimmy Chalker of Adrian; an aunt, Marie Nettles of Oklahoma; a close family member, Shane Burke; nine grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers were Phillip Love, James Glisson, Shane Burke, Casey Tapley, Mike Miller and Kenneth Braswell. Tomlinson Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
